BYD Leopard Titanium 7 Ultra: A 490 hp Plug-in Hybrid Flagship
490 hp, up to 190 km of electric range and a 26-inch AR head-up display — the BYD Leopard Titanium 7 Ultra is China's new plug-in hybrid flagship.

China's premium car makers are no longer playing catch-up, and the BYD Leopard Titanium 7 Ultra is the proof. Sold under BYD's rugged Fangchengbao sub-brand, the Leopard 7 is a plug-in hybrid SUV that blends genuine performance with a technology suite that embarrasses cars costing far more.
The 190 AWD Ultra pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged inline-four (engine code BYD472ZQB) with an electric drive system through an E-CVT, for a combined 490 hp and 620 Nm of torque sent to all four wheels via electric 4WD. The result is a 0–100 km/h sprint of around 4.5 seconds and a top speed near 190 km/h.
Crucially for a plug-in hybrid, the everyday numbers are just as strong. A 35.6 kWh BYD Blade battery delivers up to 190 km of pure-electric range on the CLTC cycle, the combined range reaches roughly 1,300 km, and a 30–80% fast charge takes about 30 minutes.
The cabin is a statement. A 15.6-inch central touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital cluster and a remarkable 26-inch AR head-up display run BYD's DiLink system with a voice assistant and 5G connectivity. A 20-speaker premium audio system, driver-headrest speakers and a 50W wireless charger complete the tech story.
Comfort matches the spec sheet. Finished in black over a striking orange leather interior, the Leopard 7 offers front seats with power, heating, ventilation, memory and massage, four-zone climate control, a panoramic opening sunroof and multi-colour ambient lighting. The DiPilot 300 suite adds a 360° camera, 12 ultrasonic sensors, full-speed adaptive cruise and autonomous emergency braking.
