Information we collect
When you send an enquiry, request a quote, or contact us through the site or app, we collect the name, email address, phone number, and message you provide, along with the vehicle the enquiry relates to.
When you allow notifications in our mobile app, Firebase Cloud Messaging assigns your installation an identifier so we can deliver messages. We do not receive your name, phone number, or any contact detail through this identifier, and we do not link it to your enquiries.
Vehicles you save or add to comparison are stored on your own device and are never sent to us.
We collect standard technical information such as pages viewed, approximate region, browser, and device type, to understand how the site is used.
How we use it
Enquiry details are used to respond to you, prepare quotes, arrange vehicle export, and keep a record of our dealings with you.
Notification identifiers are used only to send you announcements about new vehicles and offers. We do not use them to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell them.
Technical information is used in aggregate to improve the site.
Who we share it with
We use service providers who process data on our behalf: Supabase for our database, Netlify for hosting, and Google Firebase for notification delivery. Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
We do not sell personal information. We share it otherwise only where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to complete a vehicle sale or export you have asked us to arrange, such as with shipping agents and customs authorities.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are kept while we are in contact with you and for as long afterwards as UAE commercial and tax law requires us to keep transaction records.
Notification identifiers are kept until you turn off notifications or uninstall the app, at which point delivery stops and the identifier expires.
Your choices
You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings, without affecting anything else in the app.
You can clear saved and compared vehicles by clearing the app or browser storage on your device.
You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us at the address below and we will respond.
Security
Traffic between your device and our services is encrypted. Access to enquiry records is restricted to Pollux Motors staff who need it to serve you.
Children
Our website and app are intended for people buying and exporting vehicles. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on the site.
