How to Verify a Used Supercar Before You Buy
Service history, accident checks, and a proper mechanical inspection separate a sound supercar from an expensive lesson.
A used supercar can be one of the best purchases of your life or one of the most expensive lessons, and the difference is almost always due diligence. The badge means nothing without a verifiable history behind it.
Start with the paperwork. A complete service record from recognised specialists, consistent mileage across documents, and a clear ownership trail tell you the car has been respected. Gaps are not always disqualifying, but they must be explained.
Next comes the physical inspection. Paint depth readings reveal past bodywork, panel gaps reveal accident repairs, and a specialist road test reveals how the drivetrain, brakes, and electronics actually behave under load. Supercars hide their faults until they are pushed.
Finally, verify the major service items: belt or chain intervals, clutch wear on automated manuals, tyre age, and any recalls. At Pollux Motors we coordinate independent inspections so buyers abroad receive the same confidence as someone standing in the showroom.
